Who we serve

Six seats at the table. One uncertainty each.

VALTAIRA serves deal-side and operating audiences at once. Here is the specific uncertainty each one brings, and how we help turn it into measured profit.

Diligence

Before capital is committed.

01

Mid-market private equity funds

Knowing which parts of a value-creation plan's technology and data promise are real before capital backs them.

Value-creation plans increasingly lean on technology, data and artificial intelligence to lift margin, and it is hard to tell, from outside the operation, which of those levers are genuinely pullable and which are optimistic slideware. We assess the operational and data reality inside a portfolio company, at Board and CxO (chief-level executive) level, so the plan you back is one the operation can actually deliver, and we govern the work through the management team already in place, not a delivery team of ours.

02

Private credit and asset-based lending (ABL) lenders

Seeing the operational health behind the collateral, before and after the facility is drawn.

Where inventory, receivables or fixed assets sit on an operation a lender cannot directly see day to day, the real risk often lives in operational and data practices that never make it into a covenant. We help lenders and their advisors read that risk in plain terms, and where a borrower's own operational uncertainty needs turning into measurable improvement, we govern that work through the borrower's team, reporting on progress in terms a credit committee can use.

03

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and debt advisors

Separating a target's real operational data from its management narrative before a deal is priced.

At the point a deal is being priced or structured, the gap between what management says the operation can do and what its data actually shows can be the difference between a fair price and an expensive surprise. We bring an operator's read to that gap, quickly and at Board level, so the story your client is being sold matches the operation underneath it.

Value creation and integration

After close, when operations combine, and through the life of an owner-operated business.

04

Food and fresh-produce operators

Capturing the expertise already on the floor before it walks out the door uncaptured.

Fresh produce and food manufacturing operations are usually rich in hard-won expertise and poor in captured data: the best grader, planner or engineer knows exactly what is happening, but almost none of that judgement is written down anywhere a system can learn from. We help operators turn that floor expertise into measured, repeatable practice, governed through your own team, on your own stack, without asking you to run a technology project you did not sign up for.

05

Strategic acquirers

Integrating an acquired operation's technology and data into your own, without disrupting it.

Folding a newly acquired operation's technology, data and ways of working into a parent company's own is where a lot of deal value quietly leaks, usually through disruption to a floor that was running fine before the acquisition. We govern that integration at programme level, sequencing what must change immediately against what can wait, so the combination protects the operational performance you bought.

06

Search funds and family offices

Knowing which operational and technology gaps to fix first, with no internal bench to lean on.

A search fund principal or family office owner-operator is often running a newly acquired business with a lean team and no internal technology, data or artificial intelligence bench to call on. We act as that senior bench on demand, at Board level, helping you decide which operational gaps matter first and steering the fix through your own team rather than adding headcount you do not yet need.
